12.08.2015 – Julia’s Senior Portraits

December 8, 2015 Leave a comment

I don’t do much portrait work these days, but I’ve been known to make exceptions! 🙂 So below are the senior pictures of my daughter’s best friend. This is the first portrait work that I had done in over a year. Felt a little out of practice for sure, but I’m really quite happy with how thing turned out. So, without further ado…

I’ve been MIA from this page for a while, I realize. However, I’m going to start posting more here. I figure what better place to start than with some milestone photos! I can’t believe my daughter is in her senior year of high-school already! Where has the time gone??? She’s grown into an amazing young woman and I couldn’t be more proud of what she has done and I know she is going to do incredible things in her life! So, here are the photos to mark the milestone!

10.23.2011 – Taylor in Wonderland

My daughter has been asking me to take her out to do a photo shoot in her Halloween costume for this year. So, yesterday we finally made it out. It was an absolutely beautiful sunny fall day! We made our way out to South Park. Since she’s being Alice in Wonderland this year, and wanted it to be a little more ‘whimsical’ than the classic, I had a few ideas in mind. I wanted to find a path in a heavily wooded area, and also wanted to use extra flash lighting to really enhance the scene. I used a Nikon SB800 on camera to command an SB800 key light and two SB600 fill lights. I’m pretty pleased over-all with how they came out. There’s only one thing that bothers me… My baby is growing up! 😦
