01.11.2017 – Ice Storm 2016

A few weeks back we had a pretty intense ice storm come through the area. In looking outside the following morning, everything looked so cool. So, I decided to tough-out the freezing mist and take the camera outside for a bit to try to capture some of it…

Lightning – 5.14.2011

Since the weather around the Pittsburgh area seems to be 90% rain and thunderstorms, I think I’m going to start embracing it, rather than becoming depressed by it. I LOVE to catch lightning in photographs.

Last night I think I missed the bulk of the action, but I did manage to capture one cool bolt over Brookline!

Going forward, I’m going to try to grab my camera and really start refining my skills at lightning images. I look forward to posting more soon!
