It’s been a LONG time, but I finally dragged the camera back out and was able to catch some of last night’s light show!

Lightning – 5.14.2011

May 15, 2011 1 comment

Since the weather around the Pittsburgh area seems to be 90% rain and thunderstorms, I think I’m going to start embracing it, rather than becoming depressed by it. I LOVE to catch lightning in photographs.

Last night I think I missed the bulk of the action, but I did manage to capture one cool bolt over Brookline!

Going forward, I’m going to try to grab my camera and really start refining my skills at lightning images. I look forward to posting more soon!

03.20.2011 – Worm Moon Over Pittsburgh (Super Moon)

March 20, 2011 8 comments

I know it’s been ages since I updated this blog, but I am going to get back to it and post more photos more often. I basically decided to stop being a slacker! 🙂

I’ve been completely blown away by the response that I’ve received to these photos since I put them up on our Facebook page last night. I’m simply amazed and humbled.

Last night I went out to get some photos of the ‘super-moon’! There was a pretty impressive crowd lined up on the West End Overlook in Pittsburgh. It was very cool to be a part of that buzz, and to see the moon in person. Strangely, the weather was perfect for shooting last night (which never really seems to happen in Pittsburgh). Anyway, I just wanted to share a couple of the shots. So here they are…

3.21.2011 EDIT: there seems to be a high demand for Prints of these photos. We do sell prints and if you’re interested, send an email to jamison.photo@gmail.com and we will respond with pricing information.
